CAMPOUT, WALK-ALONG, KITEFLYING. CAR CRUISE
Fellow Lions, Lioness, Leos, and Friends,
On October 2, 2004, we will kick off our magical year with our 2004-2005 day at Scusset Beach on Cape Cod Canal. This event is for all members and friends in Lions Land. This project can also benefit your local community by involving the Scouts, Music Parents, and/or Sports Parents to raise money for themselves while helping raise money for Mass. Eye Lions Research, too.
Highlighting the day will be a Car Cruise. The Cruise will start at 9 am in East Bridgewater and arrive at Scusset around 10am. The clowns from Shriners will again entertain and amuse us, we will have kite flying for the young and old, music to dance or just listen to, and of course lots of free food for all our participants. The Walk-Along on the canal is always a beautiful walk and healthy for us too! As an added bonus, if you turn in $100) or more you receive a free Tee shirt with our Walk-Along logo. Radio station 98.1 will he broadcasting from our site and you can encourage all who cannot join us to listen in and hear about the fun we will be having. The Rosemary McCampbell Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the Club that raises the most money for Eye Research. The top club last year was Rockland! Can your club beat them this year?
If you would like to make this a complete weekend of fun and activity why not join us and make reservations at the campground. Call and get your reservations for camping NOW! The Rockand and Halifax Clubs are planning a Saturday night dinner and Sunday breakfast at a reasonable cost if you would like to attend.
Just to let you know, the Rangers have been extremely cooperative and helpful to us Lions. If you see one of them, let them know how much we appreciate their helpfulness. This magical day could only he successful with help from everyone. If you have any suggestions or thoughts for the day or weekend that will help us raise even more money for Mass.
