DISTRICT 33 VANITY LICENSE PLATES
We need your help with the license plates. The Registry of Motor Vehicles will not give us the green light until
we have 1500 applications. This is something we should have had years ago
and with all the help we give to our communities, the state, and the world, we
still do not get the recognition due us, and the Registry should be helping
us. The vanity plates are tax deductible. You can get a plate for
as low as $40, but if you want a low number - - 1 to 1000 - - it will cost $140
which includes a $100 donation to Mass. Eye Research!
If you have any questions about the plates,
please contact me. Every club has received the form for the license
plates. I have the number list of issued plates (given on a first
come-first given basis). The forms and checks may be mailed to me Gary Saccocia, Sr. or to PDG Paul Wagner.

OPERATION NEW
The Berkley Lions have mailed out
2050 letters to all the homes in our town inviting them to be our quests for an
informational and fun night with the Bezerkley Lions.
As many of us believed before actually getting involved with the Lions
Club, that it’s purpose was to raise money for eye research and related
causes. Indeed, that is a priority, but
what most people don’t realize, is that much of our work raises money to
provide services in the community.
Showing them what a wonderful feeling of camaraderie and accomplishment
and just plain fun they can have. Wish
us luck, please feel free to join us at the
DISTRICT 33S HEARING FOUNDATION
NEW FORMS
As of July 1st the Hearing Foundation will be unable to review applications for a hearing aid unless the new applications are completed on both sides. Since we never know who will be getting the new Lions Affordable Hearing Aids, we have to have the Income Verification Form filled out for all clients. I will have the new forms at the Cabinet Advisory Meeting in August 29th for clubs to take then. Any old forms should be destroyed and only the bright yellow forms used in the future.
Also, the Hearing Foundation is thinking of increasing the
number of people on the committee and we would like to know if anyone would be
interested in joining us. We meet the
second Tuesday of the month at Morton Hospital Speech,
Thank you, Gretchen Olney, Chairperson
