A MESSAGE FROM DISTRICT GOVERNOR GEORGE

This message came today to be posted on our web site. I have removed all of the travel path information. It is a good example of how fast Lions can react. This came from DG George who got it from ID Doug, who got it from District K Governor Doreen Martel (a long time friend to many of us here in S) who spoke with DG Tim in Maine. Please relay the information to your members, so that we can show a good example of how fast the rest of us can react.

Fellow Lions,
I have been in contact with DG Tim Chase (Maine) and he sent me this email. If anyone has items they are willing to contribute the Maine Lions have already put together trucks for this effort.
DG Tim has agreed to be available on September 10th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua (NE Forum) to collect any items we might have available to contribute to this effort. If you're planning to attend, please consider some of the items on this list.

Thank you in advance!! Doreen

Fellow Lions,
I sent an e-mail to the five district governors in Louisiana tonight and have committed the lions of 41-I to help the hurricane victims of Louisiana. Lion Mike McCormick from the Whitefield Lion's Club has volunteered to coordinate the necessary transportation needed to haul supplies to the Louisiana hurricane victims housed at the Louisiana Lions Children's Camp. The lions of Louisiana have asked for help with white and/or light clothing in all sizes, food(non perishable), bedding, toothpaste and brushes, soap, razors, diapers/baby and drinking water. District 41-I needs volunteers to help coordinate this massive effort. We need volunteers to collect supplies, to solicit goods and to help load the trucks. Please help us pull this together.I am asking for everyone to help support our efforts to help those in need.

DG Tim Chase
